In my chronology Djoser reigned from 2043 to 2014 BC and Shem built Djoser’s Complex at Saqqara and stocked it with grain and dried foods in stone jars underground to provide for those during the first famine during Abram’s life in 1921-1920 BC. Then during the last few years of Ahmose I (1715-1712 BC), Joseph expanded the grain storage capacity at Djoser’s Complex and built huge temporary silos at Avaris to prepare for the seven-year famine (1707-1700 BC).
